Personal data (hereinafter referred to as "data") is only processed by us to the extent necessary and for the purpose of providing a functional and user-friendly website, including its content and the services offered there.

According to Article 4(1) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, i.e., the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to as "GDPR"), "processing" means any operation or set of operations performed on personal data, whether or not by automated means. These operations include collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure, or destruction.

With the following privacy policy, we inform you in particular about the type, scope, purpose, duration, and legal basis of the processing of personal data, insofar as we decide either alone or together with others on the purposes and means of processing. In addition, we inform you below about the third-party components we use for optimization purposes and to increase the quality of use, insofar as third parties process data on their own responsibility.

Our privacy policy is structured as follows

I. Information about us as the controller
II. Rights of users and data subjects
III. Information on data processing

II. Rights of Users and Data Subjects

In relation to the data processing described in more detail below, users and data subjects have the right

  • to confirmation of whether data concerning them is being processed, to information about the processed data, further information about the data processing, and copies of the data (see also Article 15 GDPR);
  • to correction or completion of incorrect or incomplete data (see also Article 16 GDPR);

However, this obligation does not exist if such notification is impossible or involves a disproportionate effort. Regardless, the user has the right to be informed about these recipients.

Users and data subjects also have the right, according to Article 21 GDPR, to object to future processing of data concerning them if the data is processed by the provider in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. In particular, objection to data processing for the purpose of direct marketing is permissible.

III. Information on Data Processing

Your data processed when using our website will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage ceases to apply, there are no legal retention obligations contradicting the deletion of data, and no different information regarding individual processing procedures is provided subsequently.

Contact Inquiries / Contact Options

If you contact us via the contact form or email, the data you provide will be used to process your inquiry. Providing this information is necessary for the processing and response to your inquiry – without it, we may not be able to answer your request or do so only to a limited extent.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Your data will be deleted once your inquiry has been conclusively answered, and there are no legal retention obligations preventing deletion, such as those in the case of subsequent contract processing.

Customer Account / Registration Function

If you create a customer account with us through our website, we will collect and store the data you enter during registration (such as your name, address, or email address) exclusively for pre-contractual services, contract fulfillment, or for customer care purposes (for example, to provide you with an overview of your previous orders or to offer you the so-called "watchlist" function). At the same time, we also store your IP address and the date and time of your registration. The data will not be disclosed to third parties.

As part of the registration process, your consent for this processing will be obtained, and reference will be made to this privacy policy. The data collected by us during this process will be used exclusively for providing the customer account.

If you consent to this processing, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR is the legal basis for the processing.

If the opening of the customer account also serves pre-contractual measures or contract fulfillment, the legal basis for this processing is also Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

You can revoke the consent granted to us for the opening and maintenance of the customer account at any time with effect for the future, in accordance with Art. 7(3) GDPR. To do this, you simply need to inform us of your revocation.

The data collected for this purpose will be deleted as soon as the processing is no longer required. However, we must comply with tax and commercial retention periods.

Server Data

For technical reasons, particularly to ensure a secure and stable website, data is transmitted to us or our web hosting provider by your internet browser. These so-called server log files include, among other things, the type and version of your internet browser, the operating system, the website from which you switched to our website (referrer URL), the website(s) of our website that you visit, the date and time of each access, and the IP address of the internet connection from which our website is used.

These data collected are temporarily stored, but not together with other data related to you.

This storage is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the improvement, stability, functionality, and security of our website.

The data is deleted at the latest after seven days, provided that no further retention is necessary for evidentiary purposes. Otherwise, the data is exempt from deletion in whole or in part until the final clarification of an incident.

Vimeo

To display videos on our website, we use "Vimeo," a service provided by Vimeo, LLC, 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA, hereinafter referred to as "Vimeo."

The processing of user data partially takes place on Vimeo's servers in the USA.

If you provide consent for this processing, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. The legal basis can also be Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in improving the quality of our website.

When you visit a page on our website that contains an embedded video, a connection to Vimeo's servers in the USA is established to display the video. For technical reasons, Vimeo needs to process your IP address. Additionally, the date and time of your visit to our website are also recorded.

If you are logged into Vimeo while visiting one of our pages containing a Vimeo video, Vimeo may associate the collected information with your personal user account. To prevent this, you must either log out of Vimeo before visiting our website or configure your Vimeo user account accordingly.

For functionality and usage analysis, Vimeo uses the web analytics service Google Analytics. Google Analytics stores cookies on your device through your internet browser, and information about the use of our web pages containing a Vimeo video is sent to Google. It cannot be ruled out that Google processes this information in the USA.

If you do not agree with this processing, you have the option to prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting the appropriate settings in your internet browser. Details can be found under the "Cookies" section above.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in improving the quality of our website and in Vimeo's legitimate interest in statistically analyzing user behavior for optimization and marketing purposes.

Vimeo provides additional information on data collection and usage, as well as your rights and options to protect your privacy, at http://vimeo.com/privacy.

YouTube

On our website, we use YouTube, a video portal provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as "YouTube."

We use YouTube in connection with the "Enhanced Privacy Mode" feature to display videos. If you provide consent for this processing, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. The legal basis can also be Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in improving the quality of our website. The "Enhanced Privacy Mode" function, according to YouTube's information, ensures that the data described below is only transmitted to YouTube's server when you actually start a video.

Without this "Enhanced Privacy," a connection to YouTube's server in the USA is established as soon as you visit one of our web pages with an embedded YouTube video.

This connection is necessary to display the respective video on our website through your internet browser. As part of this, YouTube will at least capture and process your IP address, the date and time, and the website you visited. Additionally, a connection to Google's "DoubleClick" advertising network is established.

If you are logged into YouTube at the same time, YouTube associates the connection information with your YouTube account. To prevent this, you must either log out of YouTube before visiting our website or adjust the relevant settings in your YouTube user account.

For functionality and usage behavior analysis, YouTube permanently stores cookies on your device through your internet browser. If you do not agree with this processing, you have the option to prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting settings in your internet browser. Further information on this can be found under the "Cookies" section above.

Google provides additional information on data collection and usage, as well as your rights and options for protection, in their privacy policy, accessible at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
